Vision

Local food works better when we can find each other.

Country Store is a living local food map for Campbell River, the Comox Valley, and nearby communities, built around what is open, what is in season, and who grows or makes it.

We imagine a community where good food does not go unseen, local producers are easier to support, surplus finds a place to go, and the local food table gets longer for everyone.

What belongs here

From farm stands to fruit trees.

01

Find local food.

Help families discover what is open, what is in season, and who grows, raises, bakes, or makes it.

02

Support local producers.

Give small producers a fair presence without making them surrender the customer relationship.

03

Move surplus well.

Make room for overstock harvests, extra production runs, garden abundance, and fruit trees that produce more than one household can use.

04

Make the table longer.

Treat local food as both commerce and care: something we buy, sell, share, rescue, prepare, and gather around.

Producer perspective

Be findable without giving up the customer relationship.

Country Store helps small farms, markets, country stores, and local shelves show up with accurate hours, seasonal signals, product tags, photos, and correction tools.

Basic presence is free. Map, categories, hours, products, and corrections are not hidden behind a paywall.
No transaction tax. The site points people to producers instead of inserting itself into every sale.
Better stories, optional. Partners can add richer profiles, seasonal updates, interviews, and QR materials.

Shared local system

Every Country Store is the same size on the map.

A tiny roadside stand, a farm shop, a farmers market stall, and a grocery local shelf can all belong. Paid support can improve storytelling, but it cannot buy false relevance.
